How Will it Work?

For an idea of how the online event platform works, please watch this short video and read this guide.




This format will allow everyone to take advantage of the virtual and distributed nature of a digital conference, across multiple time zones, and still have meaningful person-to-person engagement.

A typical conference day for an attendee might look like this:


Platform Orientation Webinar

We invite all attendees to a platform orientation webinar on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 1 pm PDT. This webinar will cover some platform basics and go over features that will help you get the most out of your attendance. If you are unable to attend, the recording will be available afterward and we strongly suggest you watch it before the show. Sign up below.

Live Event Support

You can reach out to BrainXchange support staff during event hours (October 20-23, 8:00am to 4:00pm PDT) by visiting the Resources/Help Center at the top (green navigation bar) and live chatting with a member of the BrainXchange staff.

Day-of Directions

All registered attendees will receive an email in advance of the conference with a link to access the EWTS Everywhere platform, the web-based application that all conference participants will use to participate in the event.

On live event days, attendees will follow that link and log into the platform to participate in the conference proceedings.

Once signed into the platform, you will be directed to the Home Lobby, from where you’ll be able to explore all the event offerings.

Example Schedule

Here's what your day could look like during the live event.
For the purposes of this example, assume the opening keynote presentation starts at 9:00am.

Follow the link you were emailed to the EWTS Everywhere platform.
Log into the platform. Once signed in, you’ll be directed to the Home Lobby. The Exhibitor Zone and Networking Lounge will open at this time so you can explore a bit before the first session.
Access the livestream from either the Home Lobby or Presentation Theater.
The conference Chair presents the Opening Remarks.
The Opening Keynote is live-streamed to the audience and the event officially kicks off.
Live Q&A: Ask questions to the keynote presenter live on camera.
Start of a 5-minute programming break.
The next session (Group Panel Discussion) begins.
Ask questions to the panelists live on camera. 
Start of a 5-minute programming break.
At this time, or any time you see fit, you may choose to participate in one or more of the following activities across the platform:
  • Continue watching the livestreamed presentations and participating in Q&A

  • Watch on-demand presentations

  • Post, comment, and share in the Public Chat and Main Feed

  • Connect with like-minded professionals using the various networking tools, including the Discussion Forums and Search People tool

  • Check out the Exhibitor Zone and visit exhibitors’ digital booths

All main stage presentations end for the day and Live Expo explorations begins. At this time, we encourage attendees to explore solutions in the Exhibitor Zone, as all exhibitors will be live and present.
Live Expo officially ends, but you may stick around to continue conversations and networking or sign off to get ready for another jam-packed day.
