User Experience Platform Leader

Rockwell Automation

Abigail Plumb-Larrick is an expert on user-centered product design, and has focused for nearly fifteen years on enterprise software applications (with occasional forays into the consumer space). In her current role at as User Experience Platform Lead for Rockwell Automation’s Controls and Visualization business, Abigail champions the end-to-end experience of customers and users by driving consistency, coherence and ease of use across the complex Controls and Visualization portfolio.

She has been a key stakeholder in R&D at Rockwell on the use of augmented and mixed reality in manufacturing and process, bringing a user-centered focus to generating value with these tools. After completing a Master of Science in Information degree at the University of Michigan’s School of Information, Abigail worked at companies serving diverse markets: biomedical publishing, business services, recruiting, and real estate accounting, among others. These experiences have made Abigail a firm believer in the power of empathy and narrative to help increase the value of a tool or service for its users.

A native New Yorker and a resident of the Cleveland, Ohio area since 2009, Abigail lives with her husband, son, daughter, cat and dog.

When not working, shuttling kids around town or otherwise adulting, Abigail enjoys hiking, camping, and playing in an online trivia league.
