Rick McNerny, Product Manager for Mobile Products at JetBlue started off as a jazz musician. With a background as varied as his interests, he was a successful recording engineer, educator, and small business owner before moving to NYC and joining RipRoad, a mobile technology startup. While with RipRoad, he worked with interactive sms messaging programs and consulted for brands like JP Morgan Chase, HCSC, Mt. Sinai Hospital, and JetBlue – providing the latter with their mobile road map in 2010.
Little did he know four years later he would join JetBlue to deliver on that road map; reinventing their mobile app from a 2 to a 4.5 star app, leading the team that launched JetBlue’s Apple Watch app concurrent with the launch of the Apple Watch itself, and launching JetBlue’s iPad app to capitalize on the device’s increased UIUX real estate.
Rick now brings that mobile leadership to JetBlue’s Digital Experience team to explore how to give their Customers and Crewmembers the best in class digital tools on any device.
