Tom Dawidczyk leads Lux Research’s Wearable Electronics Intelligence service and contributes to its Digital Health and Wellness practice, where he helps clients make informed decisions about emerging device hardware, components, data management and analysis, and deployments.

Before joining Lux, Tom worked at Becton Dickinson (BD) where he researched point-of-care molecular diagnostics and more recently led the development of a wearable drug delivery device with enhanced “Smart” features. Prior to joining BD, Tom was an Intelligence Community Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Illinois, working on wearable, flexible, and stretchable electronic devices. Tom has a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Johns Hopkins University, a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.

He has published research articles on technology areas such as thin film processing, organic electronics, device physics, and fabric-based electronics.
