Thomas leadership vision is to create the best possible infrastructure to enable his team to conduct ground breaking research creating new solutions for the Business Area Elevator of ThyssenKrupp serving its customers. Main focus areas being IIoT, including but not limited to machine learning and cyber physical systems. He holds a German Mechanical Engineering degree and has been working for the BA Component Technology, Stainless Steel and Elevator Technology of ThyssenKrupp in many different roles as well as for Kepner-Tregoe – a process driven consulting company based in Princeton, NJ. He is a certified Kaizen Trainer, trained as a Six Sigma Blackbelt and is a Program Leader for Project Management and Problem Solving. Currently he holds a chair at the External Advisory Board of GA Tech’s Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Machine’s as well as GA Tech’s Manufacturing Institute.

Thomas got expatriated to the US in Jan 2009 and found his way to Atlanta over Kansas City, Peoria and Memphis. He is married.
