Thomas Jakob a Senior Sales Executive for PTC/Vuforia is globally responsible for developing and growing their enterprise business for Augmented Reality across all market segments.

As a successful former PTC Product Lifecycle Management sales veteran, he understands the mechanisms in complex project and decision structures in large accounts and knows the drivers of successful software implementation projects. Just recently Thomas was a partner and general manager in a division of his family’s business in the automotive field with P&L responsibilities. With over 20 years of experience in various global sales management positions Thomas implemented and executed processes for solution sales of computer graphics (3D animation and games), data management, and product lifecycle management.

In his career, he worked for large organizations like IBM as well as start-up companies covering either the entertainment space or the manufacturing market. His technical background as a software developer helped him to understand complexity and needs of large software projects.

Thomas is fluent in 4 languages, has lived in various countries and majored with a business degree (CDI) and an eclectic engineering degree from FH Munich.
