Joe Williams

Director of Technology

Rogers-O’Brien Construction

Joe leads our Virtual Design and Construction group and champions the application of advanced technology for every single aspect of the construction process, from preconstruction through warranty. He has facilitated the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) by all levels of Rogers-O’Brien staff.

With Joe’s guidance, estimators pinpoint quantities to eliminate pricing “fluff”; project managers virtually build projects to work out site logistics before breaking ground; and field personnel use tablets to compare in-place construction against virtual models. Joe and his staff are also propelling us toward 3D as-built drawings at close-out to provide the owner with a virtual operating manual. A nationally respected expert on BIM, Joe has presented on the topic to conferences sponsored by the, Associated General Contractors, Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry and Autodesk. He holds a Master of Science in Architecture from Mississippi State University with a focus in digital design and parametric modeling.

He attained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Memphis.
