Julia Powers, Senior Product Strategist at Rochester Optical, is a marketing professional with 5 years of experience in the optical industry. Since joining Rochester Optical in Jan. 2015, she has lead all product development projects pertaining to the company’s Smart Solutions™ and Smart GOLD™ brands, including the development of proprietary prescription lenses, fashion frames, and safety solutions for smart glasses. Prior, Julia managed all optical lab operations and strategy at Warby Parker, an optical company born in 2010 and quickly recognized as one of the most innovative, disruptive and socially conscious brands by Fast Company, Forbes, and other leading publications and influencers. Julia is the point person for all partnerships with software and hardware companies in the smart glasses industry.

She also manages all marketing initiatives for Rochester Optical’s other divisions, including Wholesale Optical Lab, Local Retail, Military and Government Contract, and Safety Programs. Julia’s deep understanding of both the optical and the wearable technology industries allows her to balance the company’s rich history with its innovative vision. She applies her broad experience in branding, project management and vendor relations to support all aspects of Rochester Optical’s B2B and B2C business.
