Tony Sun is an Analyst on the Wearable Electronics and the Electronic User Interfaces Intelligence teams, where he provides clients with research and market analysis in a wide range of emerging technology areas, including displays, transparent conductive films, thin-film batteries, organic photovoltaics, sensors, wearable computing and manufacturing techniques. Tony holds a M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from Boston College and obtained his B.S. in Physics from Peking University in Beijing, China. His doctoral work focused on realizing novel materials and thin film structures by various nanofabrication techniques, and incorporating these materials/structures to flexible electronic applications, optical filters, metamaterials, and hybrid solar energy harvesting systems.

During his later years of research study, Tony was also on the research staff at the Texas Center for Superconductivity at the University of Houston where he worked on developing continuous metal nanomesh as transparent conductive films for stretchable electronics. Tony has authored 12 peer-reviewed papers and holds 3 patents.
