Richard Leong is Senior Director of Colleague Experience and Technology at VMware, responsible for the company’s global communication and collaboration services, the IT Experience team, and colleague-facing technology support for the Americas. Together, Richard and his team maximize employee productivity by delivering a seamless digital experience. Most recently, Richard lead the research and development for a global internal VR initiative, called Future of Work, aimed at equipping VMware’s distributed workforce with VR technology to provide an immersive employee experience.

Prior to joining VMware in 2015, Richard was Director of Employee Technology Engineering at Juniper Networks where he led employee-facing technology services. Before that, he held several IT leadership roles at BlackRock (formerly Barclays Global Investors), leading the firm’s collaboration and end-user services for APAC. He has over 20 years’ experience in the communication and collaboration industry, spending a significant portion of his career in Asia, including China and Singapore.
