Vicente Hernandez is the Technology Coordinator for the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), a US military combat veteran and founder of iDonated2.org, a nonprofit that supports military veterans. Vince is an adventurer with a passion for innovative technology, hiking, mountain biking, and is an avid scuba diver.

Obtaining an Associate of Applied Science in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design and a BS in Computer Science has aided in molding his passion for innovation and modern technology. Vince’s 20+ year journey and creativity has supported various industries such as:

• BAE Systems’ Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicles, Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), Light Medium Tactical Vehicles (LMTV), USS Zumwalt Destroyer
• Continental Airlines’ aircraft Winglet fleet integration
• Ensco R&D support in the implementation of Google Glass on drill floors
• Development, design, and programming of an ABS Virtual Shipyard for Oculus VR. Supporting remote inspections using Realwear HMT-1, 360° photogrammetry for naval vessel annual inspections, and utilizing LiDAR technology and HoloLens 2 to support remote verifications of assets.

As a Technology Coordinator, Vince researches pilot tests and advises in the best practices, safety application, use cases for the adoption of remote, handheld, or wearable technology improving efficiency and safety for the maritime industry.
